- Pure 3: algebra, logarithms and numerical methods Modulus equations and inequalities (e.g. |x − 2| < |2x + 1|, squaring both sides); polynomial division; factor and remainder theorems; partial fractions (linear, repeated and quadratic factors); binomial expansion for any rational n with validity.
- Pure 3: further calculus and differential equations Derivatives of eˣ, ln x, sin, cos, tan; product and quotient rules; implicit and parametric differentiation.
- Pure 3: vectors and complex numbers Position vectors, magnitude, unit vectors; scalar product and angles; vector equations of lines r = a + tb; intersection, parallel and skew lines; perpendicular distance from a point to a line.
- Mechanics Weight, normal contact force, tension, friction (F ≤ μR, limiting friction F = μR); resolving forces; equilibrium of a particle.
- Probability and statistics Stem-and-leaf, box plots, histograms, cumulative frequency; mean, standard deviation (including coded data: Σ(x − a) and Σ(x − a)²), median and quartiles.
